Bethany Casias - Voice

Bethany Hailey Casias is thrilled to join the Opus team, bringing a passion for both education and performance. A 2007 graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education (B.M.E.) A lifelong musician, Bethany has played piano since the age of seven.
At OBU, she served as President of both the Alpha Eta chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota International Women’s Music Fraternity and the campus chapter of the National Association for Music Education (MENC). She was selected as student conductor for the University Chorale, Bisonette Women’s Glee Club, and the Shawnee Honor Choir, a community youth ensemble. Bethany was recognized as an Outstanding Senior in Music and received the prestigious Presser Scholar Award. She was a frequent competitor and finalist in NATS competitions across Oklahoma and Texas.
Her theater credits include leading roles such as Eve/Mama Noah in Children of Eden and the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, along with Miss Sherman in Fame.
Before starting a family, Bethany taught public school music in North Carolina and Oklahoma. Today, she continues to share her love of music at her church, with her children’s schools, and as a local vocalist and pianist.
